C and E are super nice folks. He is a retired Chief of Surgery for a MAJOR Boston Hospital. But one would frequently find him up to elbows in dirt/muck/debris/cement while restoring an antique home. They've owned up to 5 at a time, but now are down to one large farmhouse with several enormous barns literally restored to the hilt with all period materials etc. Their current home was featured in Art & Architecture mag.
They make yearly trips to the UK and this time C says they will be staying in a couple quaint cottages.
You're welcome. Does 'old photo' make the subject 'old' as well? Drat, I age every time I turn around. At least it's not a sepia tone! LOL
Of a month long trip we only spent 3 days in London. Those three days were the only totally rain free days of the trip.
Did the usual tourist stuff in London.
Not so much typical the rest of the trip...best part for me was going to the Cavern Club in Liverpool on my (and Paul M's) birthday. (oops, must forget dikiebo was celebrating that day, too!)

Sorry, ....er....which is which, please?
C'mon Deb. Were you one of those myriads of Yankee tourists who pestered the life outa hard-working cops?
a nonn (aka dickiebo) HAHA
and to your real-self... what? Why would you think 3 Americans with a rental car would cause havoc for the UK cops?
We did quite well, thank you. No problems and traveled from southern Scotland to southern England without incident.
BTW, we've got friends heading for Hay-on-Wye in April.
B and I love the Hay-on-Wye area. We frequently drove up that way for a nice day out.

Thank you Deb!! Nice 'old photo' colours too!
I love those lions, still remind me of Aslan in the Narnia books I read when I was a kid.
